#both their faces in this scene just kill me but spock’s especially #when uhura gets into the turbolift with him i think he’s about to shatter into a million pieces and he was going off to do it alone #instead she puts her hands on him and holds him close and kisses his face #and instead of shattering i think he melts just enough to be able to pull himself together again #when he closes his eyes in the middle gif that is relief #maybe that he’s not alone #maybe that her touch eases his pain for a minute #uhura comes to spock with open arms and he just lets himself take what he needs even if it’s not for long enough #she makes him so much stronger #it kind of kills me a little#anyone who thinks this relationship is one-sided or imbalanced is objectively incorrect #this is the whole point of love isn’t it? making each other stronger? ©
