I do what I want
ОМГ ХЭЛ И БАРРИ В ДРИФТЕ! ПОЙДУ ПОЛЕЖУ ЛИЦОМ В ПОЛ

After the appearance of the Trespasser, the world realizes that jet pilots are hardly effective against these invaders called Kaiju. This immediately spurs Hal Jordan to enlist in the Jaeger program. Partly to get a piece of the action, mostly to avenge his father, who died in the first kaiju attack.
Hal becomes fast friends with Barry Allen, a scientist from Kansas who couldn’t be more different from Hal’s ‘fly first, ask questions later’ personality. Despite that, they’re drift compatible, much to Barry’s disdain. Why couldn’t he have been teamed up with someone more analytical? Like Ted Kord? Most times, Hal is driving Barry crazy, and other times he just can’t get Hal out of his head. At first, Barry chalks this up to side effects of being in the drift to often.
However, after a category four mission goes sideways, and they’re lucky to be saved by fellow jaeger pilots, Barry begins worrying more for his partner’s safety than usual. He starts to realize why they’re compatible, and as the two mismatched heroes are becoming closer and closer in the drift, piloting Emerald Lightning won’t be so easy to do for Barry anymore.
Because when you meld in the drift, no secret is secret to your partner.
